Assessment of digitalization adoption and evaluation of performance outcome of digitalization in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

We live in a highly dynamic, technologically advanced world. The increasing number of available digital technologies has dramatically impacted our everyday life. Business organizations are also deeply affected by modern technologies. Some companies can manage digitalization and benefit from the use of digital technologies. Other firms that are unable or refuse to go digital face the risks of falling into a poor market position, losing profit margins, and even going bankrupt. This research aims to describe the nature of digitalization, assess digitalization adoption factors and evaluate the performance outcome of digitalization in the context of SMEs.
